Counter Sales Associate

A Counter Sales Associate is responsible for assisting customers at the sales counter, handling transactions, and ensuring a smooth and positive shopping experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist customers at the counter
  • Understand customer needs and recommend suitable products
  • Handle billing, cash, and digital payments accurately
  • Maintain product displays and keep the counter area clean
  • Answer customer queries about products, prices, and offers
  • Manage stock at the counter and inform about low inventory
  • Process returns, exchanges, and refunds as per company policy
  • Coordinate with store staff for smooth operations
  • Maintain daily sales records and reports

Required Skills:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic math and billing knowledge
  • Customer service orientation
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic computer or POS (Point of Sale) system knowledge

Qualifications:

  • Minimum: 10th/12th pass or equivalent
  • Prior retail or sales experience is an advantage
  • Basic computer knowledge preferred

Working Conditions:

  • Retail store or showroom environment
  • Standing for long hours
  • Shift-based work including weekends/holidays
