Humayun Kabir: ‘The day I get out of jail, I will take 50,000 people to Berhampur Medical,’ threatens TMC MLA

Baharampur: Humayun Kabir warns doctors again. The Trinamool MLA from Bharatpur is targeting the doctors and junior doctors of Baharampur Medical. He has threatened, “The day I get out of jail, I will take 50,000 people to Baharampur Medical College.”

Humayun Kabir said, “I am keeping an eye on the movements and activities of the doctors. What happens in the Baharampur Medical College, and what the junior doctors do… staying in government buildings… breathing the air of the government’s electricity and AC, breathing the air of fashion… sleeping in buildings, I am keeping an eye on everything. The day I come face to face… I will first tell you what I did to you that you filed an FIR in my name. The Baharampur police station again filed a non-bailable section against me… I did not take bail. I will not take bail. Let them arrest me. Put me in jail. I will come out of jail after working hard. That day, I will take 50,000 people to the Baharampur Medical College. Humayun Kabir alone. I will not break the party. Humayun Kabir has the power to gather 50,000 people. I will come back after working hard. That day, I will understand the reckoning. Those who are the leaders of the Baharampur Medicals Those who are sitting. IMA Association is showing.”

What did Humayun Kabir say on September 11th, due to which an FIR was filed against him?

The Trinamool MLA said, “People are also dying, so why should doctors be protected? If people go to the hospital today and do not get service and their lives are lost, they die… then who will take responsibility if they (doctors) are affected by that public anger? If they say we will go on a pen strike, the Constitution has given us the right to surround that building with the people.”

The Indian Medical Association, IMA’s Berhampur branch, has written to the Superintendent of Police requesting an FIR to be lodged against the comments made by the Trinamool MLA of Bharatpur in Murshidabad. The doctors have signed the letter. They allege that the Trinamool MLA of Bharatpur has threatened to beat up doctors. He has incited people to take the law into their own hands. The doctors’ organization has also demanded increased security for doctors due to the threats. The IMA’s Berhampur branch is going to submit a deputation to the District Magistrate today with the same demand. The Trinamool MLA’s response has not been received yet.
