Data Entry Operator

A Data Entry Operator is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining data in computer systems and databases. The role requires attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter data into computer systems from various sources (documents, forms, etc.)
  • Verify and correct data to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Maintain and update records, files, and databases
  • Review data for errors or inconsistencies and resolve them
  • Generate reports as required
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Organize and manage files (both digital and physical)
  • Coordinate with other departments for data-related tasks

Required Skills:

  • Fast and accurate typing skills
  • Basic computer knowledge (MS Word, MS Excel, etc.)
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Basic understanding of data confidentiality

Qualifications:

  • Minimum: 10th/12th pass or equivalent
  • Diploma or certification in computer applications (preferred)
  • Prior experience is a plus but not mandatory
