A Data Entry Operator is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining data in computer systems and databases. The role requires attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter data into computer systems from various sources (documents, forms, etc.)
- Verify and correct data to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Maintain and update records, files, and databases
- Review data for errors or inconsistencies and resolve them
- Generate reports as required
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Organize and manage files (both digital and physical)
- Coordinate with other departments for data-related tasks
Required Skills:
- Fast and accurate typing skills
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Word, MS Excel, etc.)
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Time management and organizational skills
- Basic understanding of data confidentiality
Qualifications:
- Minimum: 10th/12th pass or equivalent
- Diploma or certification in computer applications (preferred)
- Prior experience is a plus but not mandatory
